21 Feb 2018
This month National Numeracy has welcomed two new trustees to its board.
Mary Curnock Cook OBE is the former Chief Executive of UCAS and a prominent figure in education with a career spanning education, hospitality, food and biotech. Lynne McClure, Director of Cambridge Mathematics, has led projects including NRICH and Underground maths and has previously held varied teaching positions.
National Numeracy Chair, Belinda Vernon, has welcomed the two new trustees by commenting that “We are absolutely delighted that Mary and Lynne have joined our board. They bring hugely valuable knowledge and skills and have already started to make an impact in helping us to promote and improve numeracy levels, which is a such big issue for many individuals and the UK economy as a whole”.
