Training and workshops

National Numeracy offers a unique suite of training courses and workshops for organisations, workplaces and schools, designed to improve people’s confidence with numbers.

We do not teach maths, but instead aim to build confidence, change mindsets, and introduce resources to support skills learning. Our approach provides the essential steps needed to get adults started with improving their maths.

Together we can help adults and children overcome low number confidence and fulfil their potential.

Numeracy Champions

We train Numeracy Champions in organisations to support their colleagues, customers or communities to get started with improving their numeracy.

We also offer a separate programme to train Numeracy Champions to support school staff, parents, carers and children to help families feel more positive about numeracy.

Numeracy Champions do not teach maths, but work to support others to feel more confident, and overcome barriers and anxieties to improving their numeracy.

Anyone can train to be a Numeracy Champion, as long as they already have a group of adults to support in place.

We can also deliver the training in person – please email us at programmes@nationalnumeracy.org.uk for more information.
