Each participating school will receive a package of support across the school year 2023-24, including:
- Family Maths scrapbooks and activities for all pupils
- Staff training and support from a parental engagement expert
- 'Becoming a Numeracy Champion' training for school champions working with parents
- Termly cluster meetings with other participating schools, led by National Numeracy
- Access to the National Numeracy Challenge website for all staff and parents
- A parent workshop exploring parents’ & carers’ own attitudes around maths and how they can help their children build a positive relationship with maths
- Materials to communicate with parents about the project (e.g. template letters home, social media posts etc)
The programme is open to primary schools in the following areas:
- Greater Manchester
- North Ayrshire
- Nottingham
- Sunderland & Co. Durham
- Liverpool City Region (Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral)
